Amujie, a Pakistani resident of Liren community in Hudai town, Binhu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, was among the volunteers helping with nucleic acid testing on April 5.
His tasks included using a loudspeaker to alert residents to take the test and helping maintain order at the testing site.
"I want to make contributions to my community and help prevent and control the COVID-19 outbreak," he said.
Amujie is a mechanical engineer at Hemco Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Co, which is based in Binhu district. Having lived in the city for five years, he can now speak Mandarin and even a little of the local Wuxi dialect.
