Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province organized an intangible cultural heritage fair in the ancient Huishan town on June 10 to mark the country's annual National Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, which took place on June 11.

Fifty intangible cultural heritage items and time-honored brands in the city, including Wuxi embroidery, Huishan clay figurines, Huishan pastry, bamboo carving, and Tianzi Dairy, were on display at the fair.

Inheritors of Xiju Opera, pingtan (ballad singing in local dialect accompanied by a three-stringed lute known as pipa), and Wu ballads, were invited to perform at the fair.
The fair also featured a photo exhibition showcasing the city's intangible cultural heritage and development.

Meanwhile, the digital versions of Wuxi's intangible cultural heritage items, namely Huishan clay figurines and bamboo carving, made their debuts on the Alibaba Auction platform and were sold out in 30 seconds.
