Twenty-three projects from Japan and South Korea competed in the 2022 China Taihu International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Japan and South Korea Exclusive), or 2022 CTIIEC, online on July 2.
Sponsored by Wuxi government departments and the Binhu district government, the competition consisted of an exclusive contest for Japanese and South Korean projects for the first time.

The 23 projects are mainly involved in the fields of new-generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, biological medicine, new energy, and new materials.
Launched in February, the 2022 CTIIEC has seen the participation of more than 5,000 teams. Thirty projects will make it to the finals and have the opportunity to receive the maximum financial support of 10 million yuan ($1.49 million).
As of the end of 2021, Wuxi was home to more than 1.95 million talent, including 153,300 high-profile talent, and the city has also brought in 830 State or provincial-level talent and teams and established funds with a combined value of 900 million yuan for the development of local talent.
