Wuxi National Hi-tech District in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Japan-based Alps Alpine Group online on July 28.
Alps Alpine, the world's largest supplier of electronic parts and components and audio products, is expected to invest 3 billion yuan ($444.82 million) in a factory in WND to manufacture high-end electronic parts and components.
Alps Alpine established Wuxi Alps Electric Co Ltd in WND in 1995.
Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, thanked Alps Alpine for its long-term support for Wuxi's economic and social development, saying that the company has played an important role in the development of an open economy in Wuxi.
Du noted that Wuxi authorities will do their best to create the best possible business environment for foreign investment and offer Alps Alpine efficient administrative services and a first-class market environment.
Toshihiro Kuriyama, president of Alps Alpine, thanked Wuxi for its support and assistance.
Kuriyama said that Wuxi Alps Electric Co Ltd is the company's main overseas production base largest factory in China.
He said he was impressed by the Wuxi government's efforts to help the company maintain normal production during COVID-19 outbreaks in the city this year.
He pledged that Alps Alpine will strengthen cooperation with Wuxi and continue making good use of its production base in the city.
