The 2022 edition of the Blue Book of China New Media Launch Conference and New Media Development Seminar kicked off in Wuxi on Aug 16, with a number of media scholars and leaders of media and publicity departments taking part.
It is the second consecutive year that the Institute of Journalism and Communication under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has held such an event in Wuxi.
The 2022 Blue Book of New Media presents a comprehensive analysis on the development and trends of new media in China, as well as provides theoretical achievements and practical references with local characteristics for media communication practitioners at all levels in China.
The Blue Book brings together the analysis reports written by dozens of well-known experts and scholars in the field of new media across the country, and carefully analyzes important topics such as the metaverse, media integration, Internet public opinion, new media science communication models in public health actions, audio-visual new media technology applications, social media user behavior, and the online audio-visual industry.
During the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed by the Institute of Journalism and Communication under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Cyberspace Administration of Wuxi and the Wuxi Shanshui City Management Committee to establish a number of professional subdivision research centers, further boosting the development of the new media industry in the city.
Well-known scholars and industry experts across the county also held a round-table forum on the construction of a new intelligent media ecosystem relying on 5G and AI technology, and the development of regional media characteristics in the era of media integration.
