Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province held a wide variety of activities for both local residents and tourists during the seven-day National Day holiday, which concluded on Oct 7.
Chinese-style cultural performances were the highlight of the city's holiday activities. Ancient Huishan town launched This is Wuxi, a cultural experience project that invites tourists to participate in performances with actors dressed in hanfu, while Sunac Resort presented 600-square-meter scenes in the style of the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

The National Day holiday is also the perfect time to admire blooming flowers. Flowers at the Nianhua Bay scenic area, Plum Garden, Liyuan Garden, and other scenic spots in Wuxi were in full bloom. A chrysanthemum exhibition also kicked off in Huishan town during the holiday.
Rural tourism was popular among Wuxi residents and tourists during the seven-day holiday. The city hosted creative fairs at Dajue Temple, pottery fairs at Dingshu town, coffee fairs at Qinglong Mountain Park, and more.

Many people also visited cultural facilities during the National Day holiday in Wuxi. The Wuxi Library, for example, exhibited nearly 100 artworks, including paintings, paper cuttings, and bamboo carvings, while the Wuxi Art Museum displayed more than 100 traditional Chinese paintings by Gu Qingjiao and his students.
