Van de Wiele, a Swedish textile machinery manufacturer, laid the foundation for its Chinese headquarters and manufacturing base in Xishan district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 28.
With a total investment of $160 million, the factory is expected to generate 2.5 billion yuan ($344.72 million) in operating revenue per year.

Van de Wiele's factory in Xishan is its largest overseas investment, according to Ola Samuelsson, CEO of Van de Wiele (China) Textile Machinery Co Ltd.
Samuelsson said that the company will equip the factory with automatic applications and advanced software to support the enterprise's development in China.
He noted that the company was impressed by local authorities' warm reception and incentive policies.

As one of the first companies to operate in the China-Europe High-end Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park in Xishan district, Van de Wiele is a world-leading carpet weaving equipment and industrial weaving and knitting equipment manufacturer with a solid industrial foundation and strong prospects.
The industrial park, a new hub for Xishan to attract intelligent manufacturing projects from Europe and America, provides facilities for research and development, production, living, and shopping.
