The 2022 China International Intelligent Communications Forum was held in Wuxi, East Chia's Jiangsu province, on Nov 21.
Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony via video, saying that the province has become an important platform for showcasing a trustworthy image of China through intelligent and digital communications.
Jiangsu will promote technological innovation in artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, virtual reality, augmented reality, and ultra-high-definition video and use both traditional and new media to enhance cultural exchanges with other countries, added the governor.
Wuxi in recent years has strengthened its cooperation with leading enterprises and major media outlets, especially China Media Group, to achieve cultural prosperity, said Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, at the ceremony.

Former Prime Minister of Ireland Bertie Ahern expressed hope that the forum will become a new platform for international exchanges, while former Japanese prime minister Yukio Hatoyama expects that the forum will find solutions to balancing technological development with an intelligent future.
The event included a main forum, an exhibition on intelligent communications, and more and influencers introduced Wuxi on the microblogging site Weibo.
At the main forum, seven guests, including Tan Jianrong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Dmitry Kiselyov, president of the Russia Today TV international news agency, discussed the metaverse and brain-like chip technology.
