Two tourist resorts – the Wuxi Taihu Lake National Tourist Resort and Yixing Yangxian Eco-tourism Resort – in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently rated outstanding by provincial government.
The Taihu Lake tourist resort is surrounded by Taihu Lake and boasts 42 kilometers of scenic lake shoreline and 70-percent forest cover, making the negative oxygen ion concentration of the area hundreds of times higher than surrounding areas.

The resort also enjoys a long history and profound culture, with relics from the Neolithic Period unearthed here along with large amounts of cultural remains in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC).

This year, the resort's Nianhua Bay was listed among the best places in Jiangsu to admire flowers in spring.
Another Yangxian Eco-tourism Resort in Yixing is home to 185,000 mu (12,333 hectares) of bamboo forest, 43,000 mu of tea plantations, and over 100 lakes.
It is also home to numerous tourist attractions and rehabilitation projects, including the Yixing National Forest Park, Yunhu Lake scenic area, and the 8-bilion-yuan ($1.15-billion) Yada Health Ecological Industrial Park.

In addition to scenic views, the resort also boasts delicious food made from local produce and comfortable homestays, and in recent years it has become a popular shooting location for hit movies and TV series in China.
Another two tourist resorts – Wuxi Cuipingshan Tourist Resort and Wuxi Jiangnan Ancient Canal Tourist Resort – also received provincial recognition for their rapid development.
