The Dingsheng Bridge, a stone arch bridge in Liangxi district, Wuxi, used to be called Yongsheng Bridge and enjoyed the same fame in Wuxi as three other bridges – Jingou, Yudai, and Zhizu.

The bridge was then named by Emperor Qianlong (1711-99) of the Qing Dynasty during his trip to the Jiangnan area.

The bridge, alley, and street block where the bridge is located were built by the Mo Family during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) to take advantage of the local river system.

The Mo Family may have faded into history, but the Dingsheng Bridge withstood the test of time and still stands to witness the development of the city.
