Panasonic's first global pure hydrogen fuel cell project, the Panasonic Cold-Heat-Power Trigeneration Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Project, was officially launched in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Feb 24.
The demonstration project, located within the Panasonic Energy (Wuxi) Co plant, covers an area of 290 square meters and consists of a 40-kilowatts hydrogen-based energy supply system. The power generation part of the entire system is composed of eight Panasonic 5 kW pure hydrogen fuel cells, which primarily function through multi-machine linkage. The system is also equipped with a solar power generation system and an energy storage system, in combination with Panasonic's bromine lithium refrigeration unit, achieving complementary utilization of multiple energy sources.

The project's application scenario, which provides centralized heating, cooling, and electricity using hydrogen energy solutions, will enable heating in cold weather and cooling in hot weather, further enriching the city's hydrogen energy application ecology. The project will also strongly promote the extension, supplementation, and strengthening of the hydrogen energy industrial chain, injecting new energy into Wuxi's new energy industry.
