Henry Tang Ying-yen, chairman of Friends of Hong Kong Association Ltd, visited Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, on April 4.
Party secretary of Wuxi Du Xiaogang met with Tang and presented him with the first Wuxi Charity Award for his contribution to talent cultivation in the city.
Du said that Wuxi has been unswervingly pursuing high-quality development and hopes that Tang and his association will support Wuxi as usual and bring more HK enterprises and resources to the city.
He also noted that Wuxi will continue offering efficient service to create a favorable business environment for them.
Tang said that Wuxi is a habitable city with strong economic strength and has obtained remarkable achievements in recent years.
He added that he will introduce more high-caliber young professionals to start businesses in Wuxi.
Over the past few years, Tang has donated more than 100 million yuan ($14.54 million) to Wuxi to issue scholarships to local students and establish awards for professionals and innovative talents.
