The Taihu Bay University Media Convergence and Sharing Alliance was established in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 12.
Initiated by Jiangnan University in Wuxi, the alliance consists of 26 universities and vocational colleges in cities around Taihu Lake, such as Wuxi, Suzhou, Changzhou, Huzhou, and Jiaxing.
The establishment of the alliance is meant to promote the innovative development of university media in the Taihu Bay area. It opens up a new channel for publicity cooperation between universities in the Taihu Bay area.

The alliance will be committed to exploring new models of educational media integration, promoting the deep integration of university media, and developing a new type of mainstream public opinion communication at regional universities.
After the establishment of the alliance, its council held a meeting to review and approve the alliance's charter.
Ni Songtao, chairman of the alliance's council and vice-president of Jiangnan University, expressed hope that the alliance will become a shared platform for media integration research, cooperation and exchanges among regional universities.
