Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province is soliciting short videos about the city's intangible cultural heritage until Sept 10, according to the sponsor, the Wuxi municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting, and tourism.
Wuxi currently has 11 national intangible cultural heritage items, including Huishan clay figurines, Yixing purple clay teapots, Wuxi Liuqing bamboo carving, and Xiju Opera.
Entries should revolve around the city's intangible cultural heritage and related persons, products and scenarios to tell about the charm and innovation of traditional Chinese culture.
Individuals, universities, art institutions, cultural and creative businesses, photography agencies, self-media accounts, among others are welcome to submit their works, which should be within 100MB, to 771851@qq.com, with an introduction.
The entries should be in the format of MP4 with a resolution ratio of 1080p or above and the duration of a single video should be 60s to 120s.
Ten winners will be selected from the submitted videos and they will receive a prize of at least 2,000 yuan ($274.89). Twenty of the entries will receive a certificate of honor from the sponsoring Wuxi bureau.
The prize-winning works will appear in newspapers, books and WeChat accounts, and will be published on self-media accounts and at facilities including scenic spots and schools.
