A delegation from Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province visited Al Ain in United Arab Emirates on Aug 15 local time to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the establishment of friendly exchange relationship between the two cities.
The Wuxi delegation expressed its thanks for the support of friends in Al Ain and introduced the city's latest situations during a meeting with the director-general of the Al Ain City Hall.

The delegation expects to further promote the two cities' economic and trade cooperation and encourage businesses from both cities to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, and the Industrial Strategy "Operation 300bn".
The Wuxi delegation also expressed hopes that both sides will see more cultural and sports exchanges by organizing cultural performances and exhibitions, tourism promotion activities, sports events, and talent trainings.

The director-general gave a warm welcome to the Wuxi delegation and introduced Al Ain in detail. He also expected further exchanges and cooperation with Wuxi in economic activity, sports, culture, and education.
With a history of more than 4,000 years, Al Ain is the Great Oasis of the UAE. The Archaeological Sites of Bat, Al-Khutm and Al-Ayn in the city were listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.
Since the two cities established a friendly exchange relationship in 2018, they have made frequent mutual visits, and will fully tap cooperation opportunities and consolidate their friendship after this meeting.
