The 2023 Future Technology Cooperation (Wuxi) Conference was held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 22.
Themed on embracing new challenges and cooperating for the future, the conference hosted a matchmaking meeting for technological achievements and academic salons to promote cooperation between universities and enterprises.
More than 100 enterprises, research institutes, and investment institutions negotiated with Chinese universities about 138 future technological achievements.

The Yangtze River Delta Life Science Leading Talent Base was inaugurated on the same day. Initiated by the College of Future Technology at Peking University and the National Innovation Center par Excellence, the base is expected to strengthen integrated development among universities, institutes, and businesses and gather top life science professionals in YRD.
The schools of future technology at 12 universities were granted the Future Technology Taihu Lake Scholarship.

At the main forum, experts, including Ding Han, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Zhang Yangjun, professor at Peking University, delivered speeches about intelligent manufacturing, life science, future transportation, and future robotics.
In 2021, Wuxi was the first city in China to develop strategic cooperative patnerships with the 12 future technology schools and since then it has sought further cooperation in talent cultivation, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
