The book New Journey of Modernization series Hydrogen Energy Industry was unveiled in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 23.
Published by the China Development Press, it proposes development ideas and suggestions on China's hydrogen energy industry based on the current development of the industry in the country and experience gained in cultivating the new energy vehicle industry.
Since 2022, China has positioned hydrogen energy as an important part of its modern energy system and the key development direction of strategic emerging industries and future industries, according to Wang Anshun, former deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

He noted that Jiangsu, with more than 300 related businesses, is an important location for the hydrogen energy industry in China and has formed a relatively complete industrial chain.
Wuxi regards the hydrogen energy industry as a key future focus and the industry already boasts an increasingly complete industrial chain, breakthroughs in crucial technologies, and several leading companies, he added.
Du Xiaogang, mayor of Wuxi, said that the release of the book in Wuxi is recognition of the city's hydrogen energy industry and also shows the anticipation of the city's heavy role in serving the construction of a modern industrial system in China.
Following the book's release, experts in the hydrogen energy industry were invited to deliver keynote speeches and share the industry's latest development at a forum on the development of the industry in Wuxi.
