A press conference was held on Aug 31 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, announcing relevant updates for the 2023 China International Intelligent Communication Forum, scheduled to be staged in the city from Sept 7 to 9.
Gathering over 30 media agencies, the conference welcomed the presence of representatives from CCTV, Renmin University of China, and city government.
With the theme "New Journey, Limitless Intelligence", the event will set up both live streaming and on-site release halls to host the opening ceremony, the main forum, three sub-forums, and city-featured exchange activities, said Liu Ke, assistant of the general manager at CCTV.
Liu went on to state that this year's forum aims to deepen cultural interactions and promote integrated innovation throughout the global media industry, with the eventual goal of building a community with a shared future.
Politicians, ambassadors, experts and entrepreneurs from around the world have been invited to join the forum. They will help to shape a future of intelligent communication.
The advancements in 5G, big data and artificial intelligence have crossed over into the media. This forum is set to spark professional and creative ideas that will lead to the high-quality development of the media industry, said Song Jianwu, professor at the School of Journalism of Renmin University of China, at the conference.
