The signing ceremony for Japanese multinational THK's linear motion guide devices manufacturing base took place in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Sept 6.
THK has carved a niche for itself by capturing a remarkable 60 percent share of the international market with its flagship product, linear motion guides. THK (Wuxi) Precision Industry Co Ltd, the group's first linear motion guides factory in China, has introduced all of THK's advanced production technologies, equipment, and management principles.
Akihiro Teramachi, president and chief executive officer of THK, said the Wuxi company has made significant contributions to THK's production and sales since its inception. Looking ahead, Teramachi said the company will intensify its research and development efforts in the automation sector while expanding its presence in smart devices like semiconductors and industrial robotics.
Jiang Min, a member of the standing committee of the CPC Wuxi municipal committee, lauded THK's leadership in the linear motion guide industry as well as the company's increased investment and expansion in Wuxi. The new manufacturing base not only signifies a vote of confidence in Wuxi but also underlines the commitment of both parties to deepen their collaboration, she added.
Throughout the year, Wuxi has witnessed stable economic growth, with the machinery manufacturing sector in particular experiencing a strong upward trend, according to Jiang. This has further cemented the confidence of companies investing in Wuxi, she added.
