An exhibition of contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy opened in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Sept 9.
The exhibition displays the artworks of 42 artists born for the most part from 1940 to 1990, and is divided into 45 calligraphy works by 18 calligraphers and 49 paintings by 24 painters.
Sponsored by the Chinese National Academy of Arts and the Wuxi Municipal Government, the exhibition will run until Oct 15.
