Qianyuan village in Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently listed as a Beautiful and Leisure Village of China in 2023, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Bordering two other provinces, Zhejiang and Anhui, Qianyuan boasts green mountains and limpid rivers. Multiple natural wonders such as a thin strip of sky, a tiger's cave and vast stretches of wild azaleas can be found in the village.

In the 1980s, the village became the first in Yixing to have a collective income of 100 million yuan ($13.73 million) due to prosperous local companies. Now Qianyuan Tea Plantation is the calling card of the village's integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
Over the years, the tea plantation has built sales outlets around the country and opened stores on e-commerce platforms including Tmall, JD, and Suning E-commerce that have earned a combined annual online sales revenue of more than 10 million yuan.

Based on its superior natural environment, the tea plantation has established tea houses and other supporting facilities to provide tea culture-themed experiential tourism.
In addition, Qianyuan itself has built an exhibition hall for bamboo culture and a tourist information center and is home to a number of boutique homestays. This year, the village received more than 50,000 tourists per month and added five high-end homestays.
