Wuxi is committed to the 2023 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIoT) to build a world-leading IoT industrial cluster and attract more international companies and cooperation.

The exposition, scheduled from Oct 20 to 23, will provide a latest overview of Wuxi’s strength and development in IoT, highlighting the city’s full-fledged industrial chain, pragmatic innovation, and humanistic adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

Being the first edition after the pandemic, 2023 WIoT will mix continuity and newness. The exposition focuses on building a world-leading sector and promoting the digitization of manufacturing through IoT.

The exposition comprises 47 events, including one key summit, one exhibition and four series of themed activities. Each one of them will unfold Wuxi’s philosophy and vision: the integrated growth of digital economy and real economy and a deeper connection to the world.

The Wuxi Summit, as the key event of WIoT, will be held at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center at 9:00 am on Oct 21, with 2,000 people expected to attend.

The Summit, while prioritizing investment attraction, will officially launch the “China-Europe IoT Cooperation and Innovation Center.” Guest speakers from Huawei, Baidu, and Envision Group will make keynote speeches on trending topics.

The World IoT Products and Applications Exhibition, the most intuitive and eye-catching part, will be open from Oct 20 to 23. The exhibition will involve more than 500 exhibiting companies, 33 of them listed among Fortune 500 and 54 of them overseas entities, featuring Tesla, China Mobile, China Telecom, Xiaomi and Huawei.

Four specific halls have been erected to outline the exhibition: new infrastructure, smart sensors, IoT-enabled manufacturing and digital life with vehicle-to-everything. It will cover an expanse of 50,000 square meters; one fifth of the areas will be outdoors for interactive experience of products like driverless vehicles and wearables, furthering the event’s accessibility and attraction to the public.

Themed activities, four in total, will incorporate more forums and symposiums. Thirteen sub activities will be held by leading businesses in their own fields. Meanwhile, the Metaverse Digital Art Festival will drown participants to a combination of AI, augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality technologies.

More than 10 international sideline events are covered in this year’s WIoT agenda, two of which are intended to encourage stronger cooperation between China and European countries in IoT and trade, one for economic and trade cooperation under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

Fifty-four international companies such as Siemens, Kawasaki Robotics and Nokia, along with foreign scholars and business leaders, are set to attend this technological carnival. Nokia, for instance, will showcase its ultra-advanced industrial metaverse, computing network and 6G during the exposition.
