A total of 1,153 companies and 4,052 people in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, have signed up for the sixth China International Import Expo, which is being held in Shanghai until Nov 10.
The Wuxi delegation includes both long-time participants of CIIE and new participants of the import-themed expo, all of which are expected to fill their "carts" with advanced technologies and equipment, fast-moving consumer goods, and more, as well as make friends at the event.

AstraZeneca from Wuxi is exhibiting nearly 40 innovative medicines that it has introduced to China since 1993, as well as those that received appoval to go on sale in China this year.
Daddy Sweety, a toast-making giant in China, inked an order for raw materials worth 80 million yuan ($10.96 million) at the expo.

Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Power Equipment Co, a Wuxi-based private company engaged in the production and sale of gas generators and a frequent participant of CIIE, noted that CIIE helps it strengthen communications with upstream and downstream enterprises and learn more about cutting-edge products.
The sixth CIIE has set a new record with 289 Global Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders in attendance. Over 3,400 exhibitors and 394,000 professional visitors have registered for the event, signifying a full recovery to pre-pandemic levels.
