The 2023 Wuxi Financial Empowerment Conference and China Arab States (Wuxi) Industrial Finance Summit kicked off in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Dec 8.
Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, expressed hope that the participants will reach cooperation in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, new materials, and biological medicine.
Du also conveyed his expectations for more neighbors to enter China and invest in Wuxi.

On that same day, the Wuxi municipal government inked a strategic cooperation agreement with China International Capital Corp to carry out cooperation in multiple fields.
The event also saw the signing of agreements on 27 projects with a combined investment of 35 billion yuan ($4.87 billion) and involving scientific innovation, green development, intelligent manufacturing, and more.

Representatives from the investment institutions in both the Middle East and China offered forward-looking and practical ideas to Wuxi while representatives from the New York Stock Exchange, Citibank, and KPMG discussed hot topics including going public overseas at an exchange meeting during the event.
In recent years, Wuxi has served the real economy with finance and valued international financial cooperation. As a result, the number of companies in the city and their combined market value are ranked among the top 10 in the Chinese mainland and the city leads Jiangsu in the number of funds and their scales.
