Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel Works Co in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently listed among the 11th batch of the lighthouse factories by the World Economic Forum held on Dec 14.
Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel Works Co, owned by CITIC Pacific Special Steel, is the first lighthouse factory of the special steel industry in the world.

Lighthouse factory represents the leadership in intelligent manufacturing and digitalization in the manufacturing industry. Among the 153 lighthouse factories around the world, 62 are from China, including three from Wuxi; the other two are Bosch Powertrain Systems Co and Schneider Electric Wuxi Factory.
CITIC Pacific Special Steel is the leader of the Chinese special steel industry and has 10 core production bases, including Xingcheng Special Steel Works.

Xingcheng has built a world-leading intelligent manufacturing ecosystem for special steels that features the deep integration between industrial internet, big data, artificial intelligent and other new-generation digital technologies and special steels.
Xingcheng has seen the improvement of R&D cycles by 56 percent, products' fatigue life by 241 percent, labor productivity by 29.8 percent, and operating revenue by 30.3 percent.
The application of digital twin, automated robots, visual identification of security risks, and other technologies has freed Xingcheng's workers from high temperature, hard physical labor, and a severe environment.
