The Wuxi-Singapore Aviation Industry Exchange and Promotion Meeting took place in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Dec 28, marking the launch of a global solicitation for conceptual designs of the T3 terminal and the GTC Integrated Transportation Center at Sunan Shuofang International Airport.

The new T3 terminal, planned to span 250,000 square meters, will be capable of handling 25 million passengers per year, significantly enhancing Wuxi's role as a vital transportation hub in the Yangtze River Delta region. The GTC Integrated Transportation Center will improve transportation facilities at the airport, providing support for the accelerated interconnectivity and intermodal transportation in the region.

During the meeting, Jetstar Asia Airways, a Singaporean low-cost airline, established its Yangtze River Delta representative office in Wuxi.
Wuxi airport will collaborate closely with Jetstar Asia Airways to increase flight routes and accelerate the development of the aviation market, creating an open and integrated economic cooperation corridor, officials stated.
The expansion of bilateral flight routes between Wuxi and Singapore will establish an air channel for economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the two sides. This contributes to the fruitful outcomes of the Wuxi-Singapore cooperation, making new strides in enhancing friendship and creating a better future between China and Singapore.
As early as 30 years ago, Singapore's first industrial park in China, the Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park, was established. It has now become the most internationally-oriented, high-tech, and productive industrial zone in Wuxi.
