Chinese Rural Enterprises Museum officially opened to the public on July 28, 2010. It is the only museum that collects historical documents and relics throughout the different development stages of Chinese rural enterprises. The museum is located at the original site of Chunlei Shipyard in Dongting, Xishan district, the earliest rural enterprise in China.
With a construction area of 10,000 square meters, it mainly comprises of two parts: the indoor exhibition hall and the old Chunlei Shipyard. The main exhibition hall is divided into the Preface Hall, Achievement Hall, History Hall, Regional Hall and Wuxi Hall, which chronicles the development history, successful experience and glorious achievements of Chinese rural enterprises through a vast number of objects, pictures and written records.
