Wuxi city in East China's Jiangsu province has rolled out its annual "Wuxi International Month" campaign, with the goal of boosting international exchange and cooperation.
Nearly 500 guests from 50 countries and regions, including foreign diplomats, corporate executives and friendly personnel participated in the opening ceremony on March 20.
Initiated in 2022, the WIM is a city-led endeavor featuring an assortment of foreign affairs activities, business sessions, and cultural events, highlighted by a signature cherry blossom festival.
Some 60 activities focusing on various sectors, including cultural education, sports, social programs, and industrial development, are arranged this year, according to organizers.

One of the biggest highlights is the recognition of France as the country of honor, with a series of "French Day" programs in place, ranging from business signings, photo exhibitions to a lighting ceremony in the downtown area.
Wuxi also established a sister-city relationship with San Bernardino County in the United States at the opening ceremony, making it 51st on its global sister-city list.
This year's WIM campaign will run through May 1.
