The 2024 Global Conference of Travel Agents and Wuxi Entry Cultural Tourism Product Promotion Conference were both held in Liangxi district, Wuxi from May 10 to 12.
Representatives from tourism organizations including the World Tourism Cities Federation and the World Tourism Alliance, 136 overseas agents, as well as tourism industry experts were invited to attend the events.
Revolving around international tourism development, the experts discussed the importance of inbound tourism to the improvement of destination cities' international profile during the events.
Liangxi Culture and Tourism Development Group and nine inbound tourism enterprises inked strategic cooperation agreements to bring overseas tourists to the district.

The "Ten Thousand Foreign Tourists Visit Wuxi" campaign kicked off its first leg in Liangxi on May 10 with an addition of over $20 million in inbound tourism consumption expected to be generated in Wuxi within this year.
Representatives of local culture and tourism development groups, attractions, starred hotels, agencies, homestays, and cultural enterprises met with those of overseas agents to map out cultural tourism routes and expand collaboration, promoting Wuxi's tourism resources to more overseas markets.

Liangxi district boasts the most abundant and concentrated historical and cultural resources in Wuxi. With excellent tourism environment and products, Liangxi has proven to be attractive to both domestic and overseas tourists.
Since this year, its Huishan Ancient Town, Qingming Bridge scenic area, and three other main scenic spots have received nearly 7.29 million tourists and generated 10.77 billion yuan ($1.49 billion) in tourism revenue, a staggering increase of 38.2 percent and 33.4 percent from last year.
