Victor Garcia Da Silva, a physical education teacher at Wuxi Huatian Bilingual School, recently participated in a dragon boat race held in Ehu town, Wuxi to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.
It was the first time that Victor, a lover of water sports, has participated in the traditional Chinese sports event. After fierce competition, he and his international teammates won the Best Spirit Award.

Before the Dragon Boat Festival, an array of immersive experiences related to the festival were prepared for foreign teachers in Huatian school, such as zongzi-making.
Victor is a China-lover and has lived in the country for three years. Capable of speaking fluent Chinese, he fits in well at the Chinese school and gets along with his students.

Victor is skilled at soccer as well as English and American rugby. In addition to regular physical education classes, he also leads the junior high school CCA football team and the twice weekly Sunshine Sports.
He expressed hope that students can better appreciate the joy of sports through his classes.
In his spare time, Victor focuses on his fitness. He is also enthusiastic about participating in challenges and looks forward to more opportunities to participate in marathons and Spartan Races in the future.
