A delegation of the Wuxi municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting and tourism departed for Japan on June 23 to promote the city's culture and tourism attractions.
From June 18 to 20, the municipal bureau presented three promotional activities and art shows in Fukuoka, Japan, as part of a series of activities arranged by Jiangsu provincial authorities.

The song and dance performances given by the Wuxi Song and Dance Theater were greeted with rounds of applause from Japanese audiences, who were also impressed by the fine embroidery works, Huishan clay figurines, and other intangible cultural heritage items, as well as the demonstration of how to make zisha teapots.
The most unforgettable moment of the event was when a Japanese person made a special trip to the Wuxi booth to sing a popular song composed by a Japanese singer about the Chinese city's beautiful scenery.

Japan has always been an important source of inbound tourists for Wuxi. Direct flights between Wuxi and Osaka and Tokyo cotninue to operate, while in the Chinese city, key cultural and tourism facilities offer reservations and service services and signs in both English and Japanese.
To improve the sightseeing experience for overseas visitors, Wuxi has also upgraded its point-of-sale machines for payment and foreign currency exchange locations.
