Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, looks to open a new hospital in Xushe town at the end of this year, local media reported on July 23.
Covering an area of about 31 mu, or 2.07 hectares, the hospital is designed to accommodate 300 beds. Its main facilities will include a three-storey multi-use building and 11-storey inpatient building.

The multi-use building will comprise outpatient and emergency clinics, a medical technology center, community service center, as well as administration and logistics departments.

With complete medical facilities, the hospital will specialize in gastroenterology, pain, and urology, with a further focus on the treatment of common and frequently-occurring diseases.
Last month, another grassroot medical institution was put into service in Yixing's Xinjie subdistrict, benefiting nearly 100,000 local residents.
