A lineup of 78 commercial vehicles equipped with hydrogen cells produced by Bosch Group in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, departed for new jobs such as delivery on Sept 5, marking the scaled operation of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Wuxi.
"These vehicles not only represent eco-friendly and effective means of travel, but also the fusion of technological advancement and environmentally friendly requirements in the industry," noted Wang Weiliang, president of the Chinese committee of Bosch Mobility.

In collaboration with Jiangsu JD-Link International Logistics, Bosch launched the first 18-metric ton hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in Wuxi on May 6, which has reduced carbon emission by 4,500 kilograms to date.
Wuxi is strategically developing the burgeoning hydrogen energy sector, positioning it as a pivotal segment within new energy industries.

The city aims to become a globally renowned, cutting-edge hub for high-end hydrogen equipment manufacturing and serve as a beacon for hydrogen energy applications.
An official from the energy department at the municipal development and reform commission remarked, "Our city has formed a full industrial chain featuring hydrogen production, storage, and utilization, with select sectors already seizing the first mover advantage."
Wuxi boasts 32 enterprises specializing in hydrogen-related endeavors. Notably, the city's hydrogen energy enterprises above the designated size achieved a total output value of 12.94 billion yuan ($1.82 billion) last year.
Looking ahead to 2030, Wuxi has set its sights on propelling the hydrogen energy and energy storage industry to a scale of 50 billion yuan.
