The 2024 China International Intelligent Communication Forum commenced with the opening performance "Celebrating Diverse Civilizations" in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Sept 26.
Xu Kunlin, governor of Jiangsu, underscored the significant potential of intelligent communication in his address, highlighting Jiangsu's efforts to drive technological breakthroughs in the sector and promote the integrated development of intelligent communication media.
He expressed confidence that the forum, functioning as a platform for international exchanges and collaboration, will infuse fresh energy into the innovative development of global media.

Martin Mpana, dean of the African Diplomatic Corps in China and ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to China, expressed his desire to broaden collaboration with China through the forum and foster closer cooperation with China Media Group in spreading the history, culture, social development, and local customs of both nations.
Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, affirmed that Wuxi will leverage its cultural heritage and harness the power of the digital economy and digital transformation to achieve a harmonious coexistence between culture and the economy.

Eight prominent guests, including Guo Tong, chairman of CCTV.com, and Wu Xiaoru, president of iFlytek, and Fausto Giunchiglia, member of Academia Europaea who shared his ideas through a video, deliberated on the changes in the era of intelligence and envisioned the infinite possibilities of the future during the keynote addresses.
Five young representatives from China and other countries, such as Olympic weightlifting champion Li Wenwen and reporter of China Arab TV in China Ameen Muneer Mohammed Al-Obaidi, shared their insights and reflections on the intelligent era at the Global Youth Roundtable event.
The documentary The Philharmonic City and the Capital of Traditional Chinese Music-Wuxi, produced by CMG, began filming on the same day.
More activities, including a digital culture and tourism forum, a city culture exchange meeting, and livestreamings, are scheduled to take place during the event.
