I love running and getting to know the wonderful community of runners in Wuxi.
In the lively city of Wuxi, where tradition meets modern ambition, one man's passion for running has sparked a movement.

Jiang Wenhao, or often referred to as Lao Jiang by runner circles, is a longtime resident and an avid runner in Wuxi, has taken it upon himself to nurture the city's growing enthusiasm for fitness by founding the running club Dream Chasers. His journey, which started more than 10 years ago, reflects both personal determination and the collective spirit of Wuxi's citizens, who embrace a healthier lifestyle one stride at a time.
Jiang's story began in May 2014. Inspired by the enduring tradition of family-supported football clubs abroad that have long histories fosters unity within communities, he established DC with a simple mission: to bring together a group of like-minded friends who love — both on the running trail and in life.
"I wanted to create a community where every runner could enrich their lives and build up the city of Wuxi to become healthier," he said.

Under his leadership, DC quickly evolved from a small group of 30 local enthusiasts into a vibrant community dedicated to running and resilience. Weekly runs have become a cherished ritual, drawing participants from all walks of life — from seasoned marathoners to those taking their very first steps on the pavement. The club's warm, inclusive atmosphere has transformed routine exercise into a heartfelt celebration of mutual encouragement.
The rising popularity of running in Wuxi is also evident in the excitement building around the upcoming Wuxi Marathon, one of the city's most significant annual events. Set against the backdrop of Wuxi's historical landmarks and modern urbanity, the marathon promises to be a grand showcase of athleticism and the spirit of running.
The Wuxi Marathon is more than just a race — it is a symbol of Wuxi's forward-thinking approach to community well-being. "Events like the Wuxi Marathon inspire our citizens to push their limits, celebrate long trials of training, and contribute to a healthier, more confident self," said Jiang. As runners lace up their shoes and prepare to hit the course, the energy and optimism that Jiang has helped to cultivate in the running community resonate throughout the city.
