The Wuxi Symphony Orchestra's 2024-25 season concluded with the final note of the La Bohème concert version on July 12.
This performance, delivered by the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra with professional opera singers and the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra Chorus, captivated the audience and received unanimous applause.
Throughout the past season, the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra has performed over 60 times, including concerts themed around classic movies and musicals, a cross-genre collaboration interpreting the Xiju opera Pearl Pagoda, and joint presentations of classic operas such as Carmen in concert versions.
The season featured renowned artists, including the orchestra inviting acclaimed conductors like Alexander Rudin, pianist Denis Matsuev, and violist Sarah McElravy.
They also partnered with world-renowned orchestras like the Russian National Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the German Brass Ensemble, and engaged in cultural exchange performances in Belgium and Croatia.
"We're looking forward to meeting everyone again in the new 2025-26 season!" said Lin Daye, artistic director and chief conductor of the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra will persist in delivering high-quality performances and diverse programs to create a vibrant and enriching artistic experience for music enthusiasts.
