The 24th China University Robot Competition was held at the Jiangyin Campus of Nanjing University of Science and Technology in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on July 13.
This marks the third consecutive time the national event has been held at NJUST's Jiangyin Campus, making it a historic milestone.
As China's leading and most technically comprehensive university robot competition, the event has attracted 180 teams from 76 universities, with approximately 3,500 participants.
This year's competition featured a dual-city format, with the first phase taking place from July 9 to 15 in Jiangyin, catering to universities in the northern region.
Within the competition venue, university students compete intellectually, while outside, Jiangyin's manufacturing strength is displayed, connecting academia and industry.
Local companies like carbon fiber panel producer Dongli New Materials and bearing manufacturer Pinzhide have engaged actively. Shen Qiannan from Dongli New Materials said, "Building early relationships with university students can provide important insights into the future demands of the robotics industry."
Utilizing resources from NJUST's Jiangyin Campus, the event upholds professionalism, authority, and fairness, with its scale continually expanding. Over the last three years, the competition has evaluated robots based on factors such as speed, visual recognition, positioning accuracy, motion coordination, and obstacle avoidance, drawing participation from many universities.
