A group of journalists from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area examined the collaboration between Wuxi and GBA, along with local culture on July 10, the final day of their visit to the city.
Their first destination was Daotop Environmental Technology, a company focused on wastewater resource recovery and environmental water management. This year, Daotop partnered with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in environmental protection efforts. Their collaboration was recently recognized by RAISe+, an industry-university-research initiative backed by the Hong Kong SAR government. With a budget of 10 billion Hong Kong dollars, the program intends to subsidize more than 100 research and development teams.

Next on the itinerary was Guohong Tools System (Wuxi), a company that develops and manufactures cutting tools. Founded in Wuxi in 2004, the company's president, Wu Jianxin, a Hong Kong entrepreneur, explained that choosing Wuxi was due to its strategic location and its fair, transparent business environment.
The journalists finished their day by exploring Dangkou Ancient Town and the Green Wave Art Museum, where they engaged with local wedding traditions, Huishan clay figurines, and a diverse collection of glass art from various countries.
Following their three-day visit, An Ruoxuan of the Hong Kong Commercial Daily shared her perspectives on Wuxi-Hong Kong collaboration. She highlighted Wuxi as one of the pioneering cities in Chinese mainland seeking cooperation with Hong Kong, with Wuxi enterprises actively participating in these partnerships.
Jiao Xinrui of the Hong Kong-based Economic Herald emphasized how Wuxi and the GBA can capitalize on their strengths through collaboration. She suggested that the GBA focus on terminal products, with Wuxi providing a variety of supporting goods, creating a mutually advantageous partnership.
