The Wuxi Art Museum in Wuxi Economic Development District, Jiangsu province, is in its final stages of construction.

From a distance, the museum's gray walls appear like simple silk, with flowing lines reminiscent of clouds. In the future, it will integrate into the natural landscape of Shangxian River Wetland Park. Aerial perspectives show a facade dotted with openings, capturing the spirit of Jiangnan into a contemporary design and serving as a three-dimensional tribute to the harmony between nature and culture in the district.

Inside the museum, a central hall with a 15-meter-high ceiling and 680 square meters features a dome that filters natural light through arched perforations, creating dynamic light patterns. The atrium is inspired by traditional Chinese gardens and courtyard houses, enclosed on four sides but open to the sky, letting sunlight and clouds drift in while rain cascades down like a curtain — embodying the four seasons in one courtyard. The third-floor rooftop hosts nine sky gardens, offering 1,800 sq m of lush greenery suspended 23.8 meters above, providing an exceptional vantage point to view the Shangxian River Wetland.

Once officially opened, the museum will organize exhibitions and salons.
