A group of journalists from Latin American and Caribbean countries explored the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Sept 13, as part of their participation in the eighth Forum on Dialogue between the Civilizations of China and LAC.
They were particularly impressed by Yuantouzhu's seamless blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage, and found solace in the serene Orchid Garden, a classic Jiangnan-style garden within the area.
Nisha Paul, a freelance journalist from Grenada, said in an interview that what struck her most about Wuxi was its cleanliness and its commitment to preserving nature, tradition, and the harmonious fusion of modern and ancient elements.
Kay-Marie Fletcher, a journalist from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, also highlighted Wuxi's perfect blend of modernity and tradition, noting the city's ability to integrate technology while maintaining its cultural vibrancy. To her, Wuxi is a beautiful and impeccably clean city.
