By capitalizing on taekwondo's unifying role, Chuncheon plans to actively promote practical cooperation with Wuxi in areas like sports, culture, tourism, and education. The city also aims to explore industrial collaboration opportunities in key sectors such as biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and new energy.
He noted that these efforts will lead to more fruitful exchanges between the two cities and set a new benchmark for city-to-city interactions between China and South Korea.
As the capital of Gangwon Province, Chuncheon is celebrated as the City of Taekwondo and is a place where natural beauty and urban life harmoniously coexist.
According to the memorandum, following the establishment of the friendly exchange relations, Wuxi and Chuncheon will pursue broader and deeper cooperation in sports, economy, trade, culture, and tourism. This effort aims to create a bridge between the two communities, encouraging greater understanding and friendship while supporting mutually beneficial development.
