A delegation of 593 enterprises and 3,300 professional visitors from Wuxi, Jiangsu province, is expected to attend the eighth China International Import Expo in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.
Among the highlights is Carevance, a monitoring platform for critically ill patients developed by GE Healthcare's Wuxi base, which has captured considerable attention at the expo. The company is also presenting nearly 40 other innovations, with 60 percent developed by Chinese teams.

Beyond its achievements in intelligent manufacturing, Wuxi is also highlighting its rich intangible cultural heritage. At the Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Area, items displaying Huishan clay figurines and honey peaches, including T-shirts, tote bags, and fans, have attracted the attention of both local and international visitors.

In addition, Wuxi enterprises are making the most of this sourcing opportunity. For instance, RT-Mart's M Club in Wuxi is scouting for high-quality imports like German health supplements and Japanese skincare products.
CIIE serves as a vital platform for Wuxi to connect with the global market. To capitalize on the expo's spillover effects, the city has organized a series of related events centered on international cooperation, investment attraction, and consumption promotion, encouraging active participation.
This year's CIIE features 461 new products, technologies, and services across sectors like high-end equipment, life sciences, smart mobility, and beauty and personal care. Since its inception in 2018, about 23,000 international exhibitors have taken part in the past seven editions, unveiling around 3,000 new offerings.
