A total of 160 athletes from Wuxi representing Jiangsu province have set out for the 15th National Games, which opened in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Nov 9.
In the competitive sports category, 127 athletes from Wuxi will compete in 24 major events and 84 sub-events such as baseball, equestrian, five-a-side basketball, football, and table tennis.
In the mass sports events category, the remaining Wuxi athletes will compete in 16 major events and 18 sub-events, such as badminton, tennis, football, basketball, and volleyball.
The 15th National Games is set to run until Nov 21 across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. This edition includes 34 major competitive sports events with 401 sub-events and 23 major mass sports events with 166 sub-events.
