My name is Jorge Enrique Munoz, and I am 43 years old. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but grew up in Colombia, a country known for its exceptional natural beauty and the finest coffee. Colombia also has a deep-rooted passion for football, a sport I have cherished since childhood. I have dedicated 16 years to teaching, and my love for football remains a significant part of my life.

In 2016, I moved to Wuxi, China, initially feeling anxious about cultural differences and language barriers. However, I quickly discovered the charm of this city, with its stunning parks, vibrant greenery, and the warmth of the local people. I also unearthed Wuxi's intense enthusiasm for football, evidenced by numerous amateur leagues, including the Wuxi League and the Jiangsu Football City League, or Suchao, where our local team advanced to the semifinals.

This welcoming city allowed me to further pursue my passion for football. I joined a foreign team called the Midlanders, which has earned respect in Wuxi over the past five years. We have formed strong friendships off the field. Since 2022, I have also coached the U15 and U19 divisions at Boston International School, focusing on sportsmanship and teamwork. Our participation in tournaments has significantly boosted the skill and confidence of our players.

I also initiated a football team comprised of parents and teachers at my school. What began as a hobby turned into a respected team that participates in various tournaments that built friendships and a sense of belonging within our community. Additionally, I had the honor of attending the Suchao, through an invitation by "Charming Wuxi" English New Media Platform, where I witnessed impressive talent of our local team that was able to reach the semifinals.

Motivated by my experiences, I aimed to contribute to the city that has provided me with so much. Thus, I organized an 11-a-side tournament—the Wuxi Community Cup. This event promotes inclusivity among all cultures and nationalities, proving that our love for football can transcend barriers. Teams from Boston International School, King's College, Wuxi United International School, and several Korean and Chinese teams showcased outstanding talent and sportsmanship.

Looking back, my journey in Wuxi shows how a shared love for sport can build up powerful connections. From coaching young athletes to founding teams and launching a major tournament, I have seen football build bridges and create a genuine sense of belonging. This city has not only been a wonderful home but also a place where my lifelong passion has blossomed into a force for community and unity.
