The inaugural Yixing International Youth Festival and a specially arranged market are scheduled to take place at the BTU Yixing Co.five Youth Community in Zhangyang village, Yixing, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, from Jan 16 to 18.

The event will host 200 youth and digital nomads from countries around the world, along with nearly 300 Chinese young people, scholars, and artists.

In addition to featuring over 10 international brands, including L'Oréal, Shiseido, and Undone, the market will house 40 stalls, showcasing nearly 40 varieties of wine, snacks, and camping products from the Nordic nations, Italy and more.

During the event, jazz performances and parades will further enliven the proceedings, offering the assembled youth a fresh perspective on the rural areas of Yixing.

To create a dialogue between Yixing's countryside and the world, and to explore new opportunities for young guests from overseas in China's rural settings, the conference's international forum has invited guests such as Italian social media influencer Alessandro Martini and French artist Mylene Mathieu to discuss development paths for international community travel.

Since the internal testing of the Yixing Co.five Youth Community began last November, it has attracted 1,375 visits from digital nomads. Although the community is not yet officially operational, it has already received over 1,000 residency applications.

The Co.five Youth Community is intricately linked with the Western spirits industry, establishing a trendy hub that combines innovative industrial formats, cultural exhibition spaces, and immersive experience workshops. Sales are projected to exceed 100 million yuan ($22.71 million) within three years.

With its integrated model of front shop, middle factory, and back home, digital nomads residing there can become brewers involved in the entire brewing process, or work as new media operators to expand sales channels.
