The air quality in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, continued improving over the past year, local media reported.
In 2025, the city's annual average PM2.5 concentration dropped to 26 micrograms per cubic meter, an improvement of 3.7 percent year-on-year, reaching the best level since monitoring data first became available.
The proportion of days with good air quality in Wuxi remained stable at 83.8 percent and the city has maintained "zero heavy pollution days" for seven consecutive years.
In 2026, Wuxi aims to achieve its first-quarter target of keeping PM2.5 concentration below 37.8 mcg/cu m and improving the proportion of good air quality days to 93 percent or higher.
