Wuxi Shuofang Airport in East China's Jiangsu province, along with 40 other locations across China, has received approval from Chinese authorities to establish a port-of-entry duty-free shop.
This development represents a major step forward for Wuxi in expanding its international openness and enhancing its consumer market.
Port-of-entry duty-free shops are situated within the restricted zones of airports, seaports, or land border crossings, offering duty-free goods exclusively to inbound international passengers.
The new duty-free shop at Wuxi Shuofang Airport will complement the existing port-of-exit duty-free shop, serving both inbound and outbound travelers.
This initiative is set to boost high-end consumption, inject fresh momentum into the city's economic growth, and provide citizens and travelers with convenient access to high-quality global products right at their doorstep.
