The Jiangsu Longsheng Wiri Embodied Intelligent Robot Innovation Center, the only provincial-level center of its kind in Wuxi, was inaugurated in Binhu district on April 15.
Established in partnership with Wuxi Longsheng Technology Corp, We Harmony and Dade Heavy Industry, the center actively integrates local research resources, computational data ecosystems and industrial and capital advantages.
The innovation center aims to achieve significant advancements in key technologies, including complete machines, dexterous hands, joint modules and electronic skin. Its goal is to become a national leader in manufacturing innovation, providing robust support for the development of the embodied intelligence industry in Wuxi and facilitating the transformation and upgrading of automotive parts companies.
At the launch event, the center unveiled new products, including lightweight harmonic joint modules specifically designed for humanoid robots, as well as three key components for visual-tactile sensors. The center also introduced the "Lansen" Intelligent Robot 3.0, which can be utilized in precision assembly, intelligent inspection and warehousing logistics.
According to Longsheng Weirui's plans, the innovation center is set to lead the formation of the Wuxi Robotics Industry Alliance. This alliance will offer member enterprises market information, technology trend analysis, validation and experimentation services, along with support for resource connections.
Additionally, the center has partnered with Wuxi Binhu Industrial Investment and Development Co and Lihu subdistrict to establish a special fund of 200 million yuan ($29.33 million) for the robotics industry, aimed at supporting the incubation and growth of high-quality projects.
In recent years, Binhu district has prioritized embodied intelligence as a key future industry, continually increasing policy support, enhancing the industry chain and expanding application scenarios. The region has attracted and nurtured numerous tech companies, including Longsheng Wiri, forming an initial industry chain foundation that covers complete machines and key components.
As a major national hub for equipment manufacturing, Wuxi has developed a comprehensive industrial chain for core robot components. The launch of the innovation center is poised to further amplify these advantages, strengthening Wuxi's capacity to consolidate resources in the embodied intelligence industry.
