The third episode of the second season of A Touch of Wuxi, the micro-documentary series about Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, has been released.
This episode, titled Taihu Lake's Delicacies Leaping Through Centuries, spotlighted the city's specialty food — lakefood.
White fish, white shrimp, and silver fish, known as the "Three Whites of Taihu Lake", are the most precious delicacies bestowed upon Wuxi by the lake itself. From serving as imperial tributes in ancient times to the present-day "10-year fishing ban", Wuxi has consistently endeavored to safeguard this gift of nature.
