Huishan District, a municipal district of Wuxi, Jiangsu, is located in the northwest part of the urban area, has area of 325.12 square kilometers and had had permanent resident population of 701,000 by the end of 2014.
In December, 2000, the State Council replied to repeal Xishan City and establish Huishan District, Wuxi. Huishan District was officially listed and established in February, 2001. The Huishan District People's Government is located in No. 8, Wenhui Road, Huishan New City, Yanqiao Residential Street at present. By the end of 2014, the whole district had governed 1 provincial-level Wuxi Huishan District Economic Development Zone, 5 residential streets including Yanqiao Residential Street, Chang’an Residential Street, Qianqiao Residential Street, Qianzhou Residential Street and Yuqi Residential Street and 2 towns including Luoshe Town and Yangshan Town, counting up to 54 town communities and 56 rural communities, realizing gross regional production of RMB 63.232 billion, public financial budget revenue of RMB 6.489 billion, fixed-asset investment of RMB 44.130 billion, finishing scale total industrial output value of RMB 114.814 billion and total value of agricultural output of RMB 2.901 billion and realizing total retail sales of consumer goods of RMB 13.236 billion. Wu Zhonglin holds the post of Secretary of the Huishan District Committee, and Li Qiufeng holds the post of Governor of Huishan District at present.
